In response to confusion regarding the rules for behavior on Mobsters, I am publicizing the (revised) Mobsters Code of Conduct. These rules apply to any form of verbal communication in the game, including your comments, broadcasts, and Mob names. The intention of these rules is to provide a framework that will allow all Mobsters to play in a fun and safe environment.
Hence, any instance of the following may be subject to in-game censorship:
Derogatory remarks regarding a person’s race or sexual orientation
Pornographic, sexually explicit or sexually provocative comments
References to illegal drugs
Threatening remarks in relation to minors (bodily harm, sexual acts)
Threats to a person or a person’s family outside of the game
Distribution of another player’s personal information NOT made public on MySpace (phone number, street address, etc.)
To clarify, there are certain actions that are NOT violations of the above guidelines, and players should simply block any person that engages in these activities:
General name calling
Generally profane language
Distribution of personal information that IS publicly available on their MySpace page
Any Mob names not complying with the above guidelines may also be subject to alteration. Any person reported as non-compliant may be subject to having their commenting and broadcasting privileges revoked at any time.
